This is a profile used soley to show my makeup work and talk with any other makeup artists. Basically to build my knowledge since I'm not professional at what I do juss yet. But I'm getting there! ;0)
I've been doing makeup for a few years now...I'd say about 4 years. I've only had one job that was actually makeup related and thats ULTA . I worked there for just over a year and ended up leaving after I got pregnant to be home with my son. ♥
I dont have a lengthy or extensive makeup portfolio, but I'm working on it. ;0) I really wanna try to start doing somthing with my makeup. I've been wanting to do somthing with my talent, but as of now, I really dont have the means or time to make it happen. So, I'm using this down time to my advantage to build clientele and a decent portfolio, while at the same time picking the brains of other talented and experienced artists to help me further my knowledge. Constructive criticism is always appreciated and welcomed! After all, I'm trying to learn and juss gain extra tips and pointers as well! ;0)
THX MELISSA FOR THIS AWSOME VIDEO!

My Interests

A brilliant and creative makeup artist!!! *r.i.p.*

The first paragraph of the Introduction of "Making Faces" that really inspired me to become more creative! ;0)

"First of all, let me say that I believe there are no rules when it comes to makeup, besides the obvious: 'Dont curl your eyelashes in a speeding vehicle,' or 'Dont put lipstick in your eye', etc. ...(but those are'nt really 'rules', they're more common sense). Experts seem to be popping up everywhere with strict dictates and 'philosophies' that makeup is 'acceptable' and 'normal' (two words I hate!). 'Never wear black lipstick', Makeup should never take more than 5 minutes', and 'Never touch up your makeup in public' are just a few of the oppressive and, frankly, rediculous 'words of wisdom' frequently handed down by these self-appointed cosmetic police. In a world of constant change, with ethnicites blending together, I feel the goal should be to expand our definition of what we consider 'acceptable', 'normal' and 'beautiful'. The furture will belong to those with open minds and open hearts, who can appreciate beauty in all its forms."

This was my very first makeup book my mom bought me in high school. I'm mexican, so I wanted to learn about makeup that was fitting for my skin tone. ;0)

Natuarlly, the 80's is known for crazy colors and blunt makeup...I fell in love! *lol* I love that they never hled back when it came down to colors and the vibrance of color! ;0)

When I was little, my mom had a CATS sweatshirt and I always loved when she wore it because of the colors and faces on it. I was on Bennye.com and leanred that that makeup line is behind the makeup from CATS, along with many other movies & has also dressed up some of hollywood's best talent. I'm sucha fan now!
