Jim's Italian Prog space

About Me

I'm a Prog Archives Collaborator and Reviewer in love with the most beautiful and provocative genre: the Italian Progressive scene. I'm here mainly to help promote these bands, classic and modern: the goal is to amass a great resource of excellent music in one place--that is what the "top friends" space below represents--some of Italy's finest music. Click on them and hear their music. The main goal here is to help people discover some of the lesser-known gems on the scene. There are so many talented and quality bands that do not get enough attention, so my aim is to remedy that rather than just give more space to PFM/Banco/Orme (as amazing as they are!) Not all bands here are "prog." While that is the focus, any great Italian music can be featured here. As for bands from other countries? While not meaning to offend them, this little corner of the Web is dedicated exclusively to honoring the music of Italy.

Please also spend some time and read the blog for reviews, interviews, etc, about great music. Or just subscribe to our Italian prog blog. And if you're a visitor, please drop me a message and let me know how you like the page.
If you're in an Italian band with some progressive music influence, please ask to be on my page. I'd like this to be a good resource for readers to discover Italian bands, not only those on the front page but all the rest too. Dig deep! They only allow 40 on the main page so find the others listed off the main page and give them a listen.  I edited my profile with Thomas Myspace Editor V4.4 (www.strikefile.com/myspace)
