Joshua Pittman is a singer/songwriter from the Montgomery, Alabama area. His infectious blend of melodies, heartfelt lyrics and his piano-driven sound has made him one of Montgomery's most sought after Christian artists. Growing up in a musical family gave Joshua a broad scope of melodic inspiration. Starting at the age of 6, he began singing solos at local churches and anywhere his Ninja Turtles portable karaoke machine would travel. “My earliest concerts were actually on the street. I'd ride back and forth on my bike and offer to sing for anyone who would listen," says Joshua. “I’d set up my microphone and just start belting them out!" As Joshua got older, God was not only calling him to sing, but to write. Writing songs about life, with all the challenges and blessings that come with it is Joshua's ultimate passion. "There is so much music in the marketplace preaching to the choir. I believe God is leading me to write for those who don't go to church, those who want to hear about real issues, and those who want to hear about an amazing, loving God." During the summer of ‘06, Joshua put together his first solo project called Sellout. It's a collection of six songs that has received heavy radio airplay throughout his area. His music is available through iTunes and numerous online retailers.
