About Me

My parents stopped here to make a pit-stop.....and I missed the ship. From age 3 to 15 I was raised by squirrels, until a group of hunters found me at the base of a tree looking for acorns. I guess that's the reason that I act the way I do.........A little squirrely...kinda nuts. All kidding aside....born and raised on a farm in Kentucky. My first time that I came in contact with an musical instrument was at 9. I was riding with my parents, dad had the radio on. When we got to my aunt's house I was the only kid there. I started snooping around like a bored 9 year old and found a little Magnus Chord organ. Alittle while later they all came in and my parents said that I was playing the song we had just heard on the way down. The next weekend Dad bought one of those Magnus organs for me and 4 books. I could play all of the songs in a week and a half. By the end of the second week my father purchased a Hammond console organ and I've been playing music ever since. I picked up the bass after I had all of my keyboard equipment stolen in Minneapolis MN. I took that last money I had bought a Hohner Clavinet, and a little Cort headless bass. That's where it all started, that was in 1986.Febuary 8, 1999 my life forever changed. I was involved in a major car wreck. My sinus cavities were stuck to the door of my '66 custom 500 ford. My nose was gone as I pushed the steering wheel through the windshield with my face.My knee pushed a hole through the metal dash about the size of a gallon milk jug. I had hydro-planed and hit a tree in mid air at 55 mph. All the car had was a lap belt so, when I made contact face to steering wheel.....the impact caused my spine to be inverted betwen my shoulders. Yeah sure, I'm in pain everyday but....I'm alot better person now than I was. My music is so much better. Now I play with my heart, I play with my soul that's where the best music comes from. All the things that make a good person make a great musician. Being supportive of others, listening to others more than yourself and being a stepping stone to raise others up.
