PYRO was formed in the cold dark winter of 2008. A chance jam session turned revolution bore too your ears a great new band. Only after a few hours playing together, it was decided by the gods of rock that these four rockers would stand Strong, Stylish, and Together(or so we thought, but more on that later).The bands first show was held in a garage to help celebrate the creation of JOEW Beer, a home brew that gave PYRO their first taste of the stage. However, It wasnt until JOEW Beer 2 that PYRO officaily played their first 4 man show.Some time after, with many days of playing, practicing and creating, PYRO was struck by, what flet like, some fuckin-ass lighning... but not in a good way. Now former band member Spencer Seiben chose to take his leave from PYRO. Frantic days followed as we tried to recruit another guitar player for an upcoming show. Days before the show however, it was decided that PYRO was to be... a power trio! The show went well, and PYRO felt like it was on top of the world... that is until, PYRO was once again struck by some more fuckin-ass lighnin(also in a bad way). It was at this time, that now fromer bassist, Brett Kitzan, followed suit and took his leave from PYRO...However, PYRO has played numerous shows since, with the recruitment of bass player and long time friend, Calder (the Jailbait Kid) Sutton, and intends to keep sendin out soundwaves.Though this tale is wrought with disintigration and disaster, PYRO has not giving up!Pyro is a Rock And Roll Power Trio out of Red Deer, AB. They have been Holding Strong for a year and a half, and have just recently Released a new demo track. With lead singer/ lead guitar player Cody's testosterone fueled vocal work with uncorked riffs to evoke a single, highlighting rock music in its purest form. Bass player Calder adds his solid bass lines and Powerful backing vocals, and rounding it out with his hard hitting drumming style, Dylan is the Cherry on the top for this powerful Trio. Pyro is excited for anything that is to come in the future. Playing venues all over Alberta Pyro is eager to head east and west to share there music with more and more people. The songs are well written, they're heavy and catchy at the same time, their live energy was unreal, they were tight, and they had the whole building screaming. I once heard someone say that a previous Pyro set they saw could have easily headlined a stadium show, and I kinda laughed skeptically to be honest but after seeing them last night I couldn't agree more.
