The Awalem dance group comprises of a number of likeminded women who have come together to enjoy, dance, choreograph and perform egyptian dance.The main ethos of the group is enjoyment and fun and to be constantly learning. We use many different mediums to portray our dance from swords, sticks, zills,drums. veils, wings, and many more. We are always open to new ideas and to learning new skills to enhance our dance form.
