Hey guys this is Jerry sanchez, leader of Christian City Band. We came together in 1985. Original band members were Jerry Sanchez, Mike Aviles, Jonni Aviles, Johnyboy Ortiz and Sam Aviles. Over the years we had many musicians who helped out to play and travel. Some of the other members were Israel Mendoza, Mario Aviles, Alex Aviles, Esquiel hernandez, Tony Pevia, Joe Ramirez, Freddie Herrera and Pete Aviles.Christian City Band started a new Revolution in churches. They would say we played too loud and we were crazy. We even were kicked out of some churches.. HAHA But we kept on playing . We just loved to jam out, travel and have a good time. We've gotten to meet many people and we have many memories.Over the years the bands style changed several times from Tejano to Rock, Salsa, Cumbias, and any other style that was out. You name it, we played it! But we always came back to Tejano.We've had many crazy/fun experiences on the road. Sometimes they were good and sometimes they were not so good, but in the end we always had fun. we've played at so many different places and different cities for every occasion possible. We loved to minister to any kind of people.We would like to say hi to all the family and friends we haven't seen in years. And if you have ever helped out or jammed out with us, contact us.
