About Me

Talk the Crown
Fusing the sounds of steady synth, hard-driven guitar riffs, pulsating beats—all behind Bokan's shrilling vocals—TTC blend to create the new post-hardcore. Hailing from all over Southern California, the twenty-somethings of TTC consider Huntington Beach, CA their home base. Orange County—with all its preliminary notions—is the breeding ground for many great bands and upcoming talent, but TTC does everything to defy these notions. TTC has remained self-sufficient by booking their own tours and acquiring their own sponsors (Paul Frank, Paer Clothing and Active Rideshop). TTC has shared the stage in a supporting role—often handpicked—by prominent bands such as, AFI, LostProphets, Eighteen Visions, Everytime I Die, Goldfinger and Saosin. Take The Crown has just finished recording their RISE Records release "RELAPSE REACT" with producer Kris Crummet, which was released May 13, 2008A Skylit Drive
The follow-up to the highly successful EP "She Watched the Sky" (Tragic Hero Records); Their upcoming full length "Wires...and the Concept of Breathing" solidifies A Skylit Drive's position at the forefront of the Indie scene. The debut full length from A Skylit Drive showcases the band's finely tuned sound, and it's progression from the previous record. Featuring an array of highly accomplished producers & engineers, "Wires..." will become the record that doesnt leave your car stereo. Recorded at Warrior Sound in Raleigh, NC by Mitchel Marlow and Al Jacobs (He Is Legend, Classic Case & Filter) and produced by Jamie King (Between the Buried & Me) with vocal arrangements by Kit Walter (Alesana) this record is packed full of an All Star cast. Full of material that fans new and old alike will rejoice in, "Wires...and the Concept of Breathing" will have a lasting impact on the Indie community and will surely be a point of influence for bands to come. Alesana
"Alesana's music is a livewire; a storm of pulsing emotion courses through every note on Frail Wings."---Chord Magazine "On Frail Wings of Vanity and Wax is possibly my post-hardcore album of 2006. It's hard for a band to pull off screaming/growling and mix it in with soothing vocals. Alesana can pull it off full force."---SkylinePress.com "Mutlti-layered guitars that run from slow rolling waves to fill in tsunami cashes, combine with scream-sing vocals makes for a journey with lots of up and downs, much like the travels of life."--- Zero Magazine "Alesana has its feet planted firmly in the hard-core/screamo world, but mixes it up with enough pop hooks and gorgeous harmonies."--- North County Times "The complexity and intensity of these songs suggests Frank Zappa." "Intelligence, fury, chops, and musicianship. Alesana is well on its way."---Drum MagazineFrom First To Last
We had a decision to make that night at the studio that I will never forget... This was the most epic, movie-worthy event of my life. We just said, "Screw this. Let's just do it ourselves. The whole thing -- just us four." The good news is Sonny leaving meant that the band had to make changes, and these changes couldn't have been more positive. And so, that is exactly what we have been doing over the last couple of months -- self-producing the new From First to Last album, without a record label or Sonny.
Greeley Estates
Greeley Estates is a descendant of first-wave screamo outfits like Clikitat Ikatowi and Heroin, with the melodicism of emo-poppers like Braid and early Get Up Kids, and the band holds it’s own against contemporaries like Poison the Well, the Bled, and Thursday.
