Trevor chats to GMT TV's Lorraine about his role in 'Hughie Green: Most Sincerely'
Note: Thought it was amazing that this talented, popular, great actor did not have his own personal website yet. The thought kept creeping up in my mind from time to time, so I decided, finally, to do something about it and set up this unofficial fan page here at myspace. Hope it will become a place where all Trevor Eve fans feel at home and enjoy visiting, becoming part of his group of myspace friends! I am also in the process in setting up a website (will keep you posted) Please keep in mind this is all still a work in process! Trevor let me know he is delighted about the page and gives it all of his support!
British film and television actor Trevor John Eve was born on July 1st 1951 in Birmingham. He was not really into acting during his schooldays, as in those days he wanted to become an artist. His father dissuaded him from this career choice for financial reasons so he went on to study architecture in London instead but dropped out and enroled at the Royal Acadamy of Dramatic Art instead. And the rest so they say is history!
Trevor Eve has enjoyed a long and successful acting career on stage, television and film, with his career spanning back to the 1970s. In 1979 he gained fame as Eddie Shoestring in the series "Shoestring", a BBC tv-show about a detective returning to work after a bad period in his life which was set in Bristol and ran for two seasons between 1979-1980. Currently Trevor Eve is best known for his role as Detective Superintendent Peter Boyd in BBC television drama Waking the Dead which follows the work of a special police team who investigate "cold cases", usually murders that took place a number of years ago and were never solved. The team uses evidence which has just come to light, as well as modern technology to examine previous evidence. Trevor Eve portrays the workaholic and often eccentric Peter Boyd.
On a personal note: In 1979 Trevor Eve met English actress Sharon Maughan and in 1980 they married. They have three children and now work together on their own TV production company, called Projector Productions. Trevor has said that his passions are his family, golf, tennis, squash and painting. He also works with a street charity called Child Hope International. He has received two Laurence Olivier Theatre Awards - the first, in 1982, as Best Actor in a New Play, for his performance in Children of a Lesser God (1981), and the second in 1996 as Best Actor in a Supporting Role, for his performance in Uncle Vanya.
