Welcome to the official Glory Days MySpace page! Michael and Chris originally hail from Guildford, Surrey and have been friends since the age of 10. They have always sung together in various groups or at functions and so, after many years of fannying around, they have finally decided to go forth into the music business. Bring on... GLORY DAYS!
Although ‘Glory Days’ were officially formed in early 2006, under their first name ‘Sideproject’, Michael and Chris have been singing and performing together for over 10 years, as well as dancing and acting. A mutual love of acoustic music and vocal harmonies meant that they started writing and performing together in their teenage years, singing their own songs and covers of artists such as ‘Del Amitri’, ‘Simon and Garfunkel’ and ‘Third Eye Blind’.
At age 16, they both attended the Italia Conti Academy of Performing Arts, where their pop aspirations had to be put to one side, so they could concentrate on their training and busy schedule. They did, however, find time to perform at large events while at the college, including Christmas performances at St. Giles Church in the Barbican, an 800 seat venue. After finishing their training, work commitments kept the two apart for a while, but eventually they decided to ensure that they had time to establish a proper band, and Glory Days in its current incarnation began.
Now concentrating on writing and performing their own material, they have considerable experience, playing regularly at central London venues that showcase the best talent London’s acoustic scene has to offer, including ‘Roadhouse’ cocktail bar in Covent Garden, and the exclusive members club ‘Rex Bar and Cinema’.
