About Me

I was hanging out with my Aunt one day when i was 15 and she found a jambox that had a tape in it and she took out the tape and it said Metallica on it. she said she was going to throw the tape cassette away and keep the jambox. i asked if i could keep the tape. i did, and later that night when i couldn't sleep i put on my headphones and put Metallica's "And Justice For All" into my walkman while my family slept. the guitars that came into the mix melted my brain and sounded so amazing that i kept playing the tape over and over. I immediately decided i wanted to buy a guitar and be in a band even though i had never played an instrument before. i went to the guitar store and saw a beautiful black Ibanez guitar and thought it looked like it could get the job done and i mean well done. i bought an amp and learned how to play every song on Metallica's first four album's which i bought on cd as well as Obituary, Slayer, Iron Maiden and any other metal album i could get my hand on. i formed a metal band called Dominion with some friends. a couple of years after that my friend Nicole and i were taking turns playing cassettes in art class. after i played my Anthrax tape she played a cassette of her favorite song. the song i heard blew my mind and i said "Wow, why am i listening to metal for!" the song was "Dig for Fire" by the Pixies. In an instant my musical tasted had changed and i got into bands like Sonic Youth, Dinosaur Jr, Velvet Underground, My Bloody Valentine and what would become more or less Indie Rock. i formed many bands over the years and now i'm just working on my own stuff and trying to get it out there and share the love. and hopefully one day blow someone's mind. i have hope. Hope For a better tomorrow.
