About Me

He’s back! DLG Photography is back from hiatus, and revamped with a whole new creative energy and new models to match!

DLG first hit the photography scene with his 1997 calendar release, Men of Mocha. The buzz around the M.O.M. calendar created a siren in the African-American community, and helped spawned the incomparable and trailblazing career of international male model, Alvino Lewis. Lewis, who is signed with the highly reputable, modeling- powerhouse Wilhelmina, calls DLGs’ work “Genius!”
Following the victorious release of the Men of Mocha calendar in 1997; the 1998 and 2000 calendars were released. Due to the high demand of the first two issues of the M.O.M. calendars, there was an overwhelming pressure from DLG enthusiasts to showcase the beauty of African-American woman. Thus, DLG released his 1999 masterpiece, Cobra. Cobra was a thirteen-month spread of African-American femininity at its highest.
DLGs’ success is constructed upon his keen eye to hand pick models, and bringing them to life from behind the camera lens. DLG has discovered the top three African-American male models in this current era; Alvino Lewis of Wilhelmina Models, Datari Turner of Ford Models, and Marcus Hill of Vision Models. These three men have been associated with clothing designers and saturated magazine entities whose revenue’s combined amass a billion dollars annually. Clients of which these men have worked for involve; 310, Abercrombie and Fitch, Sean John, Ralph Lauren Polo, GQ, Men’s Health, Vibe, and Ebony, just to name a few.
Likewise, DLG has worked with Elite Model Management’s very own supermodel, Roshumba Williams. Furthermore, DLG has collaborated with Ex-NFL star Kareem Kelly; SlamBall Superstar LaMonica ‘LM’ Garrett; and Gregory Keith of Noah’s Arc. In common, DLG has commissioned major events such as both the American Music and Soul Train Music Award shows, as well as, major campaigns like Dianna O’ Cosmetics and Interface Cosmetics.
In short, DLG Photography isn’t only a company name but an experience in photography and advertisement. His credibility far exceeds any hype, and proves that he is a photographer not be overlooked. His hiatus is officially over, and DLG Photography is ready to pursue its passion of photography; while helping destroy the myths about irreparable disharmony among African-American men in the modeling industry.
