CR350 was formed in August of 2006 by lead vocalist J.J. Gonzales and drummer Tony Rivera. What began as "something fun to do" quickly became "SOMETHING REALLY FUN TO DO!" The duo decided to recruit lead guitarist Mac Morales, bassist Aaron Vasquez, and rhythm guitarist and sound engineer Jaime Gutierrez. In October of 2006 the group made its debut in a Mathis, TX Halloween party billed as the "Monsters of Rock." This would be the first of many band names as the band changed its name to fit each gig. To add more depth and flexibility to the band a brass and percussion section was added. Trumpet players Lisa Barrera and Rosalinda Guzman, saxophone player Rick Pena, and percussionist Ralph Martinez joined the group and added that unique sound that you can only get from CR350. Guitar player Roland Alvarado came aboard in July of 07 and tenor sax Bill Flores joined July 08. As the band's popularity and genre quickly grew, the band took on more gigs and requests. After a few gigs with the entire ensemble the band chose CR350 as its official name. (You'll have to come see the band in person if you want to know what CR350 is...) CR350 plays locally on a regular basis. From biker bars to cowboy hangouts, from backyards to community events, if you can provide a few electrical outlets CR350 can play the gig. CR350 is without a doubt the most eclectic band in the area. When CR350 is on the stage no one has an excuse not to dance. This band plays it all: country, rock, alternative, Spanish rock, rock and roll, and pop.Come on out and enjoy! You'll be glad you did!
