Paul Lesinski

About Me

Paul Lesinski dreamed of living a life of music after seeing KISS on the Paul Lynde Halloween special in 3rd grade. After logging time in high school and college bands with names like Osiris, Nimoy, and Fred, Paul finally went pro, logging six years, three albums, more than 900 shows in 17 states and numerous unconsummated label offers with nationally-touring groove-rockers The Strangers.
Paul next settled into the Northwest music scene, fronting Eugene, Oregon-based Isor Wallobee and doing annual gigs with The Floydian Slips, a Pink Floyd tribute band, before hooking up with Portland's colorfield on the recommendation of ex-Stranger Bart Ferguson.
colorfield has shared stages with Storm Large and The Balls, Luce, The Motels, The Gin Blossoms, Berlin and Glen Phillips of Toad the Wet Sprocket. The band was asked to be the backing musicians for Grammy winning Train founder Rob Hotchkiss for his solo debut at Northwest Music Fest 2005. Songs from the band’s latest CD, simply titled ‘colorfield,’ have aired on Portland radio KINK and KNRK.
Recent other highlights include three sold out January 2008 Floydian Slips shows in Eugene, Portland and Seattle. Paul has also been backing up Portland alt-country rocker Matt Vrba, playing lead at Matt's Portland shows. Paul has also recently performed his own music at Rob Barteletti & Friends Songwriters Showcase and is working on a solo release.

Slips Rehearsal - Wow

Had rehearsal last night for Saturday's Slips show. It was epic. To back up, last week I caught a nasty bug and actually took a day off of work to lie in bed shivering with a 102.6 fever. Yeah, that's...

The story behind 1,000

Just posted a new tune today, called 1,000. It's actually ten years old - well, the recording is. The song is even older. But I just started playing it acoustic again and I really dig it. Back in the...
