About Me

I am a self-taught artist. I am inspired not only by other artists but from life itself. I am inspired by people, textures, smells, sounds, all my senses seem to come alive when I draw. My drawings take me on an artistic journey of self discovery. I feel my soul awaken when I draw. GOD has given me a gift and it's a gift I hope to use to bring people closer together. It's a gift I hope to use to capture the beauty that's in this World. I don't want my drawings to simply be pictures drawn on pieces of paper - I want my drawings to be a celebration of life.

If you would like to commission me to draw a portrait for you, please email me here and please include a scan of the reference photo.   If you'd like to mail the reference photo to me, please email me for my address.

Please remember, the photograph must be clear enough for me to see the unique details of the face.

What's the difference?

    Bad                             Ok                             Best

A photograph that is not clear will not be accepted.  I take pride in my work and it's my name that goes on the final piece - I will not jeopardize the quality of the work.  So please, make sure that the photograph is clear and large enough to see the details.   For Massachusetts clients, I can take my own reference photos - please email me for further details.

My portraits usually takes anywhere between 20 - 200 hours depending on the size and the amount of details being drawn.   I request that a 50% non-refundable down-payment is made before I actually begin drawing.   At this time I only accept checks (personal or bank).

As I work, I will email the client work in progress (WIP) scans of the portrait.  Once the portrait is completed, I will send a final watermarked scan of the portrait to the client for approval and any changes to be made.   Once the portrait is approved, I will prepare the portrait for shipping by spraying it with a fixative which prevents smudging and yellowing.  I will then package the portrait in a special shipping envelop made of special cardboard.  The final 50% payment is due once the final portrait is approved.  Once the final payment is made, any submitted photos will be returned along with your portrait.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Here's the artist who started it all for me. Albrecht Dürer, a German painter, printmaker and theorist from Nuremberg. His still-famous works include the Apocalypse woodcuts, Knight, Death, and the Devil (1513), Saint Jerome in his Study (1514) and Melencolia I (1514), which has been the subject of extensive analysis and interpretation. His watercolours mark him as one of the first European landscape artists, while his ambitious woodcuts revolutionized the potential of that medium. Dürer's introduction of classical motifs into Northern art, through his knowledge of Italian artists and German humanists, have secured his reputation as one of the most important figures of the Northern Renaissance. This is reinforced by his theoretical treatise which involve principles of mathematics, perspective and ideal proportions.

His prints established his reputation across Europe when he was still in his twenties, and he has been conventionally regarded as the greatest artist of the Renaissance in Northern Europe ever since.
