The Tennessee Matted Love Bird (Montus Yohomonis) is a species of crane that was, until recently, undiscovered and undocumented. This new sub-species ws discovered by a small group of songwriters while on a retreat in the Great Smoky Mountains of Tennessee. One of the most interesting thing about this new find is the bird's mating calls and communication abilities. The male, female, and young all three have unique and individiually identifiable calls to one another. We hope to be fortunate enough to obtain recordings of these birds in the wild and will post them as they become available.
