I am currently working on my masters degree in history at UMSL. I am most interested in how the threat of war has justified massive amounts of public spending, even in peacetime, that has been continuous to some degree since World War II. As a result of this I have found myself focusing on air power, since it is so extremely costly, and the doctrine developed to warrant such costs.
