video gaming, Anarchism... um, i spend a good amount of time chatting online and whatnot, and i'm sure i have other hobbies which escape my mind (tho, frankly, i'm bland).
i'm not totally sure... i guess i'm up for anyone?
It really would be nice, though, if whoever wishes to add me would actually like to talk with me... i guess it's not essential, but it would be nice, heh.
okay... i'm no longer adding any myspace bands to my list, unless i find a *very* strong appreciation for them. No offense (i doubt most anybody would care, of course - but just in case).
i really dont know much about music, honestly, but... i tend towards gothic and industrial (and ebm or whatever) and a bit other... for example, bauhaus, mephisto walz, nick cave and the bad seeds, etc... vnv nation, project pitchfork, etc... a decent bit of bowie (not '80's stuff, though), the Residents (wonderful), etc... some game music too, of course.
not huge for this, but what may be my "favourite" movie is Dersu Uzala, by Kurosawa Akira (who is my favourite director). Recently, i saw "Libertarias," a Spanish movie about the revolution, from the perspective of some Mujeres Libres. It was excellent... to say the least.
i've probably spent most of my tv-watching time watching the Simpsons... the Daily Show is nifty. tv doesnt engage me massively, but i end up watching it a decent amount anyway =P
Albert Meltzer's autobiography, "I Couldnt Paint Golden Angels," is bloody great. As is his small book, "Anarchism: Arguments for and Against." I tend to read a decent bit about anarchism. I dont read fiction too often, i usually read "study topics," but have read some novels at points which i've quite liked (the four main books in the Enders Game series, for example). Recently'ish read Zinn's "People's History of the United States," which is excellent and should be read by everyone (especially those in USA).
while i can understand a person having heroes... and i've surely had them in the past... it might be better to not bother with 'em, you know? Especially considering that "heroes" tend to have an awful ability to disappoint a fellow once you find out more about 'em. Anyway... it's probably best to become a decent character in your own standards, rather than in the shadow of some "great" person... of course, i'm probably being silly about this... and i'm surely not a great example of some excellent fellow who has really made something of himself, heh! ^^;
