In the Late Thirties, "Killer Diller" was the name that many of the most spectacular and hot songs have been given from the enchanted public, listening or dancing to the most popular and beloved orchestras of the swing era. In these bands we could have appreciate the earliest Billie Holiday, Lena Horne (near to the 1940's), Ella Fitzgerald. Unforgettable and unique singers swinging with the very best of musicians committee of the period, such as Teddy wilson's Orchestra, Eddie Heywood, and artists like Lester Young, Benny Goodman, Duke Ellington's immortal compositions and sound, Artie Shaw, Ben Webster, Jo Jones, Gene Krupa,Charlie Christian, Milt Hinton, Buster Bailey, Freddie Green, Roy Eldridge and Louis Armstrong, the classic majestic songs of George Gershwin and many others. We named ourselves Killer Dillers gang, inspired by this beautiful era and sound. We aspire to give back the intention and the feeling of this late thirties recordings, from the hottest one to the most tearful ballad, bacause we think that the spirit of jazz came from this early experiences and them we shouldn't forget, because when you want to reload the strenght of your heart, home is the place to go, and then you should know what it means to miss New Orleans! "Killer Diller" è uno slang usato negli anni '30 per indicare la particolare popolarità , il successo e la spettacolarità di uno o più brani tra quelli proposti nel repertorio delle orchestre swing. Se un brano è arrangiato finemente, è ballabile e vivace, ed ha un ritmo particolarmente infuocato allora è un killer-diller! Killer Dillers Gang siamo noi, riproponiamo i più piacevoli brani swing (quindi il jazz degli anni '30!) con particolare riferimento alle orchestre di Teddy Wilson, Eddie Heywood, all'orchestra che portò il nome di Billie Holiday nonchè alle formazioni ridotte o alle incisioni di Goodman e di Charlie Christian, alle formazioni dei più tardi anni 40' con Lena Horne e Peggy Lee o all'immortale apporto di Duke Ellington e di George Gershwin; le formazioni in cui militarono Lester Young, Benny Goodman, Artie Shaw, Ben Webster, Jo Jones, Gene Krupa degli esordi,Charlie Christian, Milt Hinton, Buster Bailey, Freddie Green, Louis Armstrong, Roy Eldridge e molti altri ancora. Il nostro fine è far rivivere questa epoca e questo movimento, imparare dai grandi indimenticabili suoi interpreti e farvi ballare, o commuovere chi ci ascolta eseguire le ballad più intense di quegli anni, come "Do you know what it means, to miss New Orleans", come "Stormy Weather" o "Body and Soul". Come il nostro stesso cuore danza dentro se stesso ascoltando la voce e il suono di quell'epoca e si commuove sentendola allo stesso tempo così lontana e così accogliente.
