Time is long and life is short... begin to live, while you still can. E.V.

About Me

I'm the guy who said he'd never leave his hometown, yet I've been living 3000 miles from it for nearly 6 years. A New Yorker by birth, Californian by choice. And New York, well most people have it all wrong. It's not all buildings and subways and people with bad accents, it's cow pastures, corn fields, maple trees, and pine trees. Hills and valleys and beautiful rivers. We have a thing there called "wind chill" and "snow belts" which no one here in California knows about. I am Italian, believe it or not. My dad's name is Angelo, my grandfather's, Salvatore. I had relatives that never spoke a bit of English, only Italian. Somehow I got blonde hair, blue eyes, and the Irish name of Ryan and don't speak a bit of Italian. In 2002 I moved out to California to find new life, new people, new things, and ultimately my "California Girl." I've found that and whole lot more. However, good pizza and wings... still being sought out. I'm really not much of an idle person. I like to be on the go doing different things. I'm a ball buster who tends to be the one making people laugh with my insanity. My energy level is pretty high most of the time, I get excited over the smallest things. I'm a kid at heart who listens to Howard Stern everyday, yet I try to go to church every Sunday. I've always been a leader, not a follower. Balance and moderation are things I strive for in life and loyalty is huge to me. On 11-11-05 I became an uncle and right after, a Godfather. My nephew Connor, I love to death and only hope to have one with his personality someday. My family is a huge part of me. Despite being 3000 miles from them, they are a huge part of my world and I miss them everyday. There's a lot I miss about NY. I miss the 3 "F's". Family, Friends, and Food. That's what NY is all about, because really, there's not much else to do in Upstate NY! Oh wait, snowmobiling. And I am now MARRIED!!! It's taken me 30 years, but I got there. Haley is the missing component of my life that I never thought I'd find. I got me a good one! Happiness is bountiful...
I created my own profile using nUCLEArcENTURy.COM and you should too!

My Interests

Travelling back home to New York and travelling all over the west coast as much as I can, motocross and quads, BIG TRUCKS, skiing is so great, cooking, bridges, skyscrapers, NYC Subways, restaurants, people watching, photography, the Oregon Coast, dogs, and 200 other things. I am beyond fascinated with graffiti. Playing in the snow and playing in the dirt are my favorites!

I'd like to meet:

Eddie Vedder. Oh wait, I did meet him!! In San Francisco, @ 3:00 AM on 7-17-06. Other than that, people who add to life, and not disrupt it. NYers out here in California, Artie Lange, Bobby Flay, and Anthony Bourdain.

Music:

Pearl Jam, Pearl Jam, and more Pearl Jam! And then a little more Pearl Jam. Need I say more. I need so many doses of Pearl Jam everyday. They are my drug of choice. I am absolutely obsessed! There's no denying it. I don't go a single day without listening to them! You'll also find me listening to, Led Zepplin, The Doors, Steve Miller Band, Chris Cornell, Soundgarden, Audioslave, Alice in Chains, Incubus, Beastie Boys, STP, Def Leppard, RHCP, Hootie and the Blowfish, Fuel, Goo Goo Dolls, A Tribe Called Quest, old school rap from the 70s and 80s, and I've now found Liam Finn... incredible.

Movies:

I'm the guy that doesn't really watch movies. I will watch them, but its not my first choice of things to do. However there is a movie I do love. Stand by Me. Best movie ever! And how can we all forget The Goonies! Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Back to the Future, Summer School, ABSOLUTE CLASSICS!! So I'm a product of the 80s. Aren't we all at some point??? And what would you expect from someone who is Italian and is from NY, the MAFIA movies. Goodfellas, A Bronx Tale, The Godfather, who doesn't love them??

Television:

The Sopranos, Wild Boyz, Rob and Big, Everyday Italian (Giada mmmmmm!), No Reservations, Ax Men, Modern Marvels, just about anything on The Food Network or Discovery Channel.

Books:

Anything on GRAFFITI. It's an incredible artform and I love learning about the artistical/social/and ecomincal aspects of it. Books about architecture, bridges, skyscrapers, and engineering. Books with big rigs and big trucks! Anything by Anthony Bourdain. Great reading! The Bible.

Heroes:

Eddie Vedder is my hero!! No really, my grandfather. He was the most influential person to cross my path in life. He was cruicial in shaping many parts of who I am. By far the greatest role model of my life.
