At the young age of 15, Thomas Hummel of New Orleans, also known as DJ Phanatik in numerous communities, was already spinning hardcore and gabber music at the clubs. After his brief stint of pumping some serious hardcore vibes on the dance floor, he soon moved on to the new beats of Drum and Bass.DJ Phanatik took his decks and his vinyl collection and travelled all throughout the US, hitting the clubs of Detroit, New York City, New Orleans, Mississippi, Ohio and numerous places throughout Florida.Two years ago, DJ Phanatik found himself being drawn to the dubstep community. With all of his experience at the decks, he is a DJ at the monthly Miami show, Tron as Fuck. Added to this was his experience DJing at Konkrete Jungle.He's built a lot of respect within the DJ community, DJing with other big names such as AK1200, Danny Bled, Dara, Dieselboy, Karl K., Kryteria, Rawtee, Tech Itch, War Storys to name a few.His experience isn't solely with Drum and Bass and Hardcore. His musician side of him blossomed with a drum kit at the age of five. With a natural talent for the drums, he's played in numerous death metal bands.Now, at the age of 32, DJ Phanatik not only has 16 years of DJ experience, he's also got several years of performing in a live band environment. With his diverse musical portfolio, he'll keep the vibes going all night long!~
