I don't watch much tv, I catch what I can

Books:

Heroes:

When I felt that no one else in this world loved me, I knew Mommy did and still does. I hope I can be like her, and be a positive influence on my children. My Aunt Camilla, her spirit and beauty were like bright lights while on earth and I know in heaven she has become one of the stars. Everything about my auntie glowed, even everything she touched. Every night I look up and imagine her in a constellation, praying and hoping to God that I may inherit her same loving and unbreakable spirit. I love you, you were my auntie, but my mentor and my sister. Rest In Peace. My Aunt Sylvia (SylVAAN), she never let her disability become a disability. She was a fighter, a lover, and a nurturer. I learned so much about life being in your presence, auntie, it was amazing much we were alike, and I love you. Rest In Peace, lovey. And my Grandmother Odessa ('Dessa), she was a phenomenal woman, she had the strength and beauty of an Egyptian goddess and the poise of an African Queen. She comforted me and always made me feel like I was important and talented and beautiful. My Grandma 'Dessa would always call me to brush her curly hair, just to put her to sleep. It made me feel so good that I could bring that comfort to someone. Though it was a chore to brush and style her hair, it NEVER felt like it, I always enjoyed that time watching my Granny sleep, and she knew that. She was a parliamentarian, she kept the family straight, but she always made sure that everyone was fed and happy and enjoying themselves. I was named after my Granny (my name is Barika ODESSA McCall) and I pray that her qualities are passed through that name. I love you, Grandma 'Dessa, Rest in Peace.
