I would like to meet Noah, because I know what it’s like to do regrettable things while under the influence of alcohol. I would like to meet Moses, because I know what it’s like to have a buried Egyptian in my past. I would like to meet Abraham, because I know what it’s like to try to accomplish God’s will on my own. I would like to meet David, because I know what it’s like to live in prolonged blatant sin. I would like to meet Jonah, because I know what it’s like to run from God. I would like to meet Peter, because I know what it’s like to deny Christ. I would like to meet Mark, because I know what it’s like to return home a failure. I would like to meet Paul, because I know what it’s like to struggle with doing the right thing. While it is hard for me to identify with the accomplishments of these great men, it is easy for me to identify with their weaknesses. Thank God for his grace, for it is by the grace of God that I will one day get the privilege of meeting these men.
