About Me
Kitty has been playing music since her brother put a guitar in her hand as a teenager, she had had already piano training, and singing in her childhood. Her natural ability to arrange music, and her ear for melody and harmony all were tools to build the foundations of these compositions throughout her career as a recording artist. This background has made all of her music interesting, and enjoyable to listen to.She has recorded much music of different styles. Kitty's first album was with a band called FREE DYRT, legendary in Montana from the late nineties. A six piece jam band famous for songs as diverse as "Understand", "Grizzly Bear", "Navar's Poem", and "Park Bench". Where she came up with lyrical compositition and was the band's rhythm guitarist. After the band experience she spent some time in Nashville, Tennesee working on songwriting and lyrical composition. Then after returning to Washington DC, her hometown, she recorded SOUL COFFEE; her second album, and a finished work after having recorded various songs individually in Nasvhille "Where The Angels Play" and "Half Silver Moon Tide" recorded in Montana. This ensemble of songs is a perfect match to what "soul coffee" is, and therefore a work to be recognized. In the LOST ASTRONAUT Kitty collaborated, and producing with engineer Danny Demetro, founder and producer of Lost Astronaut. Kitty contributed with vocal composition, and guidance through album structure, and production, together they produced a 20 song electronic album, as PEOPLE WHO CAN FLY including Danny Demetro, Kitty, and Jon.
