Lines in Sand are a South Yorkshire based 4 piece consisting of a group of individuals who shared an interest in playing and writing honest music. The band was originally put together in early 2008 by singer/guitarist Alex and guitarist Adam after both having a few years out of playing in bands. Both had similar interests and styles of writing and felt they would compliment each other when writing material. John and Dan, both mutual friends were natural choices to join:
Alex Steadman – Vocals/guitar
Adam Nicholson – Guitar/vocals
Dan Wright – Bass
John Lee - Drums
After only a few months together Lines In Sand had gained interest from independent Doncaster label ‘Inhaler Records’. This gave the band the incentive and drive in the second half of 2008 to work hard on material, developing a strong, powerful live sound and gaining a following.
The band are about to release their debut single ‘Moving Away to Start Again’ as a split with Seduction records’ Cocean as well as spending time in the studio putting together their debut full length entitled ‘Defences’ planned for release on Inhaler Records this year.
