ÄŒAÄŒI VORBA - "true speech". This is how Gypsies describe their own music.
Commencing in 2004 Polish-Ukrainian group specialises in the impulsive mixture of Gypsy, Balkan and Carathian music.
ÄŒAÄŒI VORBA serves an acoustic fusion of ethnic music, jazz and other musical genres performed on traditional instruments, such as violin, Hungarian viola (bracsa), Turkish kemence, Greek bouzouki, Romanian cobza, Middle-Eastern darabuka and dombek. Thanks to surprising compounds, such as "Balkan twist", "Romanian rock'n'roll", "Roma swing", the band introduces crazy musical atmosphere of Balkan wedding.
High vocal and instrumental skills of band's solist - Maria Natanson (awarded "Young Artist of the Year" in "sound" category by Polish Radio Lublin in May 2009) and her bandmates create a new, border-crossing, original musical language; the musical dialect which expresses all that is common - happiness, passion, longing, sadness - "the true speech".
In 2006 ČAČI VORBA became laureate of musical competitions of: IX Polish Radio Folk Music Festival "Nowa Tradycja", II Festival of Slavic Song in Poznań and Festival of Mountain and Folk Music in Zakopane (Tatra).
The group's musicians are well recognized Polish and Ukraine folk / world-music scene's artists, cooperating also with: St. Nicholas Orkestra, Kałe Bała, Burdon, Się Gra Trio, Jahiar Group, Lubliner Klezmorim.
