About Me

Radio has been my profession for thirty years now; I started while in high school here in Terre Haute Indiana. I've worked in many formats, COUNTRY right now. I tend to fall in love with whatever music I play, so right now it's country. And I'm proud to say I've been working at the number one radio station in the Wabash Valley, HI-99 WTHI for thirteen years now...

My Interests

I love to read...and particularly enjoy John Grisham and Dean Koontz (have your read ODD THOMAS? My favorite novel!) and my brother Jim's blog: http://thecotas.blogspot.com/If you want inside MY head, here's my blog: http://djdiane.blogspot.com/OUR MILITARY TROOPS: Regardless of the political issues, I am an extremely vocal supporter of our troops. My father is US NAVY, RET'D...growing up on military bases is NOTHING like the real world.

I'd like to meet:

Gosh, I've already met Merle Haggard, Tim McGraw, Randy Owen, Kenny Chesney, Stephen Cochran, Jake Owen, Cole Deggs and the Lonesome, Danielle Peck, Jeff Bates (HOT FLIRT, LOL) The Oak Ridge Boys, Trace Adkins, Toby Keith, Josh Turner, the wonderful guys Jay, Joe Don and Gary of Rascal Flatts, Josh Gracin, Chris Cagle, Wynnonna, the sweetheart guys of BlackHawk, LeAnn Rimes, Gary Allan, Aaron Tippin, the guys from Heartland, Drew, Loren, Roger & Mo of the Drew Davis Band (love them! funny guys and oh so talented) Mario Andretti, Bobby Allison, Al Unser, Phil Vassar, Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn, rockers Kip Winger, Gene Simmons, Jack White, Henry Lee Summer, the guys from the group Cinderella...so I'm doing okay meeting. ;-)

Movies:

I love thrillers and action movies....the kind that keep you on the edge of your seat. I'm in no mood for love stories, chick flicks or romances.Oh, and I love Val Kilmer!

Television:

I watch too much tv. Even worse, I watch reruns of comedies. But at least I have a purpose: they make me laugh and everyone needs laughter.

Books:

Right now I'm reading a book called THE QUICKIE, a Christmas gift from my favorite co-worker Cheri. It's a James Patterson novel and that guy can sure get me into a book fast. ;-)

Heroes:

My parents, absolutely. Those who serve: the men and women serving us in the military, law enforcement and fire departments across this great country of ours.My brother: just a sharp guy whose own accomplishments make me want to be a better person. My daughter, who at age 22 is wiser than I have ever been.My sisters, who have been there for me like only beloved sisters will be; ALWAYS, ALL WAYS.My best friends Pam and Alice. I wish Pam was closer, I need her a lot more than I get to have her.

My Blog

Sentimental or not, this is disturbing!

When I got my first computer about fifteen years ago, the first thing I did was use the typing tutor to get my hands back in the habit of typing.   I remember thinking what a great tool this int...
