Due to her father's new job, her family moved to Los Angeles in 2000. She started training vocally and soon began to train in dance as well. She joined a performing group, which allowed her to perform in many public places such as Six Flags. Soon she was discovered by a dance company that took her to Japan to do a tour with them, dancing and singing solo performances. In 2004, she landed recurring role on the hit Nickelodeon TV show, Zoey 101, as Vicky. In 2005, she booked her first feature film as one of the family members in the romantic comedy "Yours, Mine and Ours" starring Dennis Quaid and Rene Russo. She played Naoko North, the filmmaker of the North family, who used her camera to document the ups and downs of the large brood.
She was also able to be a part of the 2005 CBS showcase. She performed a skit from "White Oleander," playing Asher. Shortly after, she was given the opportunity to work with CrownSoul Entertainment, as Madison in the short film "Three the Hard Way." The movie is about three best friends out to fight crime in their neighborhood and put an end to the evil caused by their next door neighbor. Miki was signed artist with Walt Disney Records with the group “T-Squad†having an album released on April 3rd 2007 and have toured with the Jonas Brothers, Cheetah Girls, Everlife, Miley Cyrus and many many more. In the summer of ’07 they headlined a “conservation†tour in local zoos and parks around the nation.
No longer apart of the group, Miki is currently working on her solo career for both the U.S. and Japan. Writing and composing many of her own songs she hopes to write for other artist as well and be one of the few successful female writers in the music industry. Full blooded Japanese, she hopes to break open the door for successful Asian artist in Hollywood.
