Good Ol' Country Railroad

About Me

Good Ol’ Country Railroad is the brainchild of one Johny Gloria, hailing from Memphis, Tennessee by way of the great state of Arkansas, who made his singing / songwriting debut battling the ambient sounds of the coffee grinder at the Highland Grounds Coffee Shop in Los Angeles, California in May of 2001. One month later, actor/filmmaker Frank Gallegos joined him on a washboard, and two months after that, Dan Kinsella and Jon Parlow joined them to form a foursome that would play around Los Angeles for the next 3 years. In 2004, a chance meeting outside of the Karma Coffee house in Hollywood united drummer Jonny Lee with the band and then Grant Langston (a longtime pal of Gloria who’s been playing the LA scene since the early 90’s), decided to put down his guitar, pick up the bass and form a 6-piece that played Southern California through 2007.In ’08, Jon Parlow left the band and longtime Missouri buddy of Jonny Lee, Joel Huggins, took over the bottom end while Grant Langston slid over to lead guitar. The result has been a stronger progression towards rock n’ roll. The band released it’s first album, self titled, in februrary of 2007, available right here in hard copy form:..
