-------Reviews of "Monkey Lament" split LP with Gultskra Artikler-------
...both artists find unique ways to blend acoustic and electronic elements, as well as structure and improvisation. Given both the quality of the music and the artwork, there's much for fans of experimental music to enjoy from this record. 8/10...Paul Simpson ( Foxy Digitalis )
...“Snake Ice,†an instantly appealing piece whose emotive Kosmische style can't help but call to mind the work of artists like Popul Vuh, Neu, and Faust. A disorienting character pervades “Snake Ice†as it twists and turns through various psychedelic episodes, with keyboard melodies and distorted strings snaking their way through a dense sea of churning noise. “Dir Tup†plunges even deeper into a psychedelic rabbit hole with a wooden flute, acoustic guitars, animal sounds, and myriad other noises pushing the song into a tripped-out psych-folk and backwoods country jam... -------Reviews of "Mad River"-------
...one of the best surprises of the year! Britain’s Lanterns, after releasing more than a handfull of cdrs and tapes truly deliver on this behemoth of psychedelic groove and full-blown drone drone-meets-VanHalen-extravaganza...8/10.. Foxy Digitalis
...Gelt, the Mad River, which is suposedly a live recording, and it must have been one hell of a gig. The track begins with a repetitive but uncompromising drum rythm which occupies pretty much the whole 20 minutes. It starts slow and meditative, but soon various layers of guitar, feedback and violin (burried there somewhere) start to build more and more tension. Torwards the end it turns into a powerfull splutter of guitar noise, feedback and fierce drum pounding...I really do like it - this just sounds like the kind of "energy outburst music" done right... Hum of the Earth
-------Reviews of Chora split-------
...this split CDr on Screetching Snowflake pits these two head-turning units with unique approaches to new jack tribalism that both succeed on the psychedelic battleground leaving plenty of bloodied, powdered wigs in their path...Kenneth Zubiate... Foxy Digitalis
-------Reviews of "Wax Cavern"--------
...It winds and moves with a delight and softness, cries out with wonderully subtle electronic shifts and breathes with an enormous frailty...Joe Luna... Foxy Digitalis
...Fuzzed out guitars, harmonious space whispers, shadowed guitar melodies, bowed strings, cavernous noise, hazy drone fog, occasional percussion, subtle electronic shifts, chiming bells, pulsing metallic sounds and glistening rays of atonal violin screech blend into a kind of radiant free music where melodies are melted, separated, put under the wave scope and set free into the ether...Mats Gustafsson... Broken Face
-------Reviews of "Once"----------
...Lanterns search for the ruinous green light amongst various electronic boxes, guitars, bows and microphones, and this EP is a totally great wash of thick colour and pulsing undercurrents that really threaten to wash you away with the tide...Joe Luna... Diskant
...Like the cover design and packaging, Lanterns music is beautifully unassuming, and at 34 minutes the album is over way too fast. Now Im gonna put it on repeat, go to sleep, and dream of more...Navad Carmel... Foxy Digitalis
