Started out with 3 friends who all worked together and had a love for similar styles of music. One day we decided that it would be good fun to start a band, David Mellor was the first to start playing when he bought a guitar and started learning and writing his own riffs. Later Danny Jones bought a drum kit and started spending dosh on improving the kit and began learning how to play, Jack bought a bass guitar and the rest is history. We all have different influences of music and all our band have a real passion for music and love the stuff we're writing. Hopefully we will see you at some gigs and make an impression on you but its all for fun and the music....and the bitches ;), so we are well up for putting on a good show and having a laugh afterwards.
May 2008 a new member joined the band. The Con man, hes a lead guitarist and hes class at what he does. Hes bringing a new sound to the band and a new influence and ideas to our writing. We have also had a line up change, Jack who played bass has now been moved to lead vocals/throating to bring more energy and a fucking awesome scream to our songs.
Since Jack has become the frontman we were looking for a bassist to take over, and found the answer in one of our good friends Smithy, who purchased a sexy arse pearl white Ibanez bass when he heard there was an opening. Dedication.
September 2008. The band didnt feel as though things were progressing in the right direction and decide to bring in a new guitarist and unfortunatly conner had to leave PFYS. The new inspiration came from Mike Mellor, a very good friend of the band and also a blood realitive of 1 of our members. With our new guitarist the sound is unreal and we have started writing better, heavier songs.
Now we have the true 5 piece we have always been looking for and a phat, heavy, aggresive sound to match it. You can expect fast riffs, heavy breakdowns, intense screaming and loads and loads of energy from Pay For Your Sins. Gigging near you soon.....
January 2009. we recorded another song titled blinded, it's all mixed and ready for everyone...enjoy.

May 2009 : Unfortunately guitarist Mike Mellor is having to leave Pay For your sins due to other commitments. He is leaving on a good note and there are no hard feelings from any band members as he is still a close friend of the band. We wish him luck 4 the future and success in Whatever he does. So this means that we are looking for a new guitarist!!
In the next few months we are concentrating on writing new material and this is the perfect chance for the new guitarist to come in and learn the current songs and also help writing the new ones.
Band experience is not essential but would be a plus, and guitarist must have all of there own equiptment. Must enjoy playing similar styles of music (As I Lay Dying, Parkway Drive etc) and most of all enjoy playing the music they love.
If your interested drop us a msg and well be in touch to arrange a try out. Thanks alot PFYS............
