I have been into music for as long as I can remember. I grew up with a love for it and a desire to be a part of it somehow. From messing with my moms stereo trying to scratch on the record player to buying my first set of professional turntables.
I started out DJing local parties around my way (shout out to the BX!), but then moved to FL and the DJ thing kinda died. I knew I still wanted to do something with music but I didnt know what to until one day I was watching MTV and they were showing the making of Justin Timberlake's first album. They showed him and Timbaland in the studio and I watched Timbaland go through some of his production process. I was so impressed with how he creates and his level of creativity. I said thats what I want to do. Make beats.
I started out with a simple drum machine. I can't even remeber what kind it was (I know it was Blue). I had to pawn that one so that didn't last. I eventually made my way to making beats on my computer using fruity loops. I don't have a problem with fruity loops but I the type of person who likes the hit pads and play keys not point and click. I recently was able do away with having to do that with the purchase of my latest toy a Roland Fantom X7. All production now takes place by way of the X7. If you want professional sound you gotta use professional equipment. Now it's all about getting better and perfecting what I love to do.[LOVEMYFLASH]
