His trios have had musicians from Mick Taylor, Roy Buchanan, Savoy Brown, Tower Of Power, Ravi Shankar, Big Ed Sullivan, Otis Grand (and in France with the musicians from Nino Ferrer, Jean-Jacques Goldman and Michael Jones). GERRY JOE WEISE has guest supported Ray Charles, Buddy Guy, B.B.King, Iggy Pop & The Stooges, Eric Clapton, The Yardbirds, John Lee Hooker, Pat Metheny, John McLaughlin, Noel Redding, Canned Heat, Albert Collins, The Scorpions, Luther Allison, Joe Louis Walker, Chick Willis, Bob Brozman, Matt 'Guitar' Murphy, Dave Hole, Calvin Russel, Otis Grand, Luther 'Houserocker' Johnson, Deborah Coleman, Mark Hummel, Jerry McCain, Maurice McKinnies, Billy Branch, Van Wilks, Nine Below Zero, Eddie & The Hot Rods, the Chicago Blues Festival tour and the San Francisco Blues Festival tour in Europe.
GERRY JOE WEISE was born in 1959 in Sydney, Australia, where he learned to play guitar at the age of 4. During the 1970s when he was 16 and 17, he guest supported bands AC/DC, Rose Tattoo and Midnight Oil with his rock bands The Class and Siren in Sydney. At 18 he joined the progressive Corroboree that had drummer Craig Collinge (ex Manfred Mann) and keyboardist Cezary Skubiszewski (ex Alexis Korner, film composer "Two Hands"). In 1980 Gerry Joe Weise took a big step forward and moved to Europe, living in France, Germany and Switzerland until 1999, before moving back to Australia. In 2000, he wrote two songs for Nabarlek (Indigenous Live Band Of The Year Award 2005), for their 2nd album "Bininj Manborlh".

De son Australie natale, GERRY JOE WEISE a ramené les épices d'un blues concocté dans les années 70 à Sydney. Il méle à son blues des influences millénaires de l'Australie. Guitariste et chanteur il invente autour de ses compositions d'un blues brillant et dense de référence. Il a notamment joué avec B.B.King, John Lee Hooker, Albert Collins, Noel Redding ou Eric Clapton. Véritable artiste nomade, il suit une carrière personnelle ponctuée de plusieurs albums : 1994 "Live In Paris", 1996 "A Letter To Jimi", 1999 "Bushman Boogie", 2005 "Sydney-Paris Blues". Il a fait sensation au Blues Festival de Chicago comme celui de San Francisco. Au Festival Hendrix au Palais des Congrès d'Evreux avec Noel Redding, et au Festival d'Adelaide en Australie avec Iggy Pop & The Stooges. Il a connu aussi un franc succès notamment au Festival de Jazz d'Amiens avec Buddy Guy, une première partie des Scorpions au Zénith de Toulouse, ou encore une presentation au fameux Festival de Jazz de Montreux. Gerry Joe Weise s'est imposé avec la prouesse de faire preuve d'une virtuosité exceptionnelle, sans laisser pour autant "le feeling" qui fait la grandeur de cette musique, du blues à la sauce australienne, un régal.

Sänger, Gitarrenspieler und Komponist, GERRY JOE WEISE wurde 1959 in Sydney, Australien geborn. Er erlernte, Gitarre am Alter von 4 zu spielen und empfing seine erste elektrische Gitarre, als er 11 war. Während der siebziger Jahre, die er Gitarre in den lokalen Sydney Bändern spielte, The Class und Siren; die Bänder AC/DC, Angels City, Rose Tattoo und Midnight Oil an den Schauplätzen wie dem Bondi Lifesaver stütze. Er verband das progressive Band Corroboree, das Cezary Skubiszewski auf Klaviatur (ex Alexis Korner, Preisfilmkerbekomponisten für "Two Hands") und Craig Collinge auf Trommeln (ex Manfred Mann). In den achtziger Jahren Gerry Joe Weise stellte sich weise als Schutzträgergitarrist für Hauptartistes im verschiedenen Blues und Jazzvereine in Deutschland, beim Leben in Frankfurt am Main und in München für 5 Jahre her. Es war nicht bis die neunziger Jahre, als Gerry Joe Weise in Frankreich und die Schweiz bewog, das, das er ein Führer unter seinem eigenen Namen wurde. Seit damals bereist er ständig Europa als alleinfungiert und mit seinem eigenen Trio. Beim Spielen an den Festivals, hat er mit B.B.King, John Lee Hooker, Albert Collins, Noel Redding und Eric Clapton, unter anderen gestaut. Seine Trios haben Musiker vom Mick Taylor, Roy Buchanan, Savoy Brown, Tower Of Power, Ravi Shankar, Big Ed Sullivan, Otis Grand, usw...
