Dangerous Rhythms

About Me

Dangerous Rhythms was a product of Mike Green, Todd Hurley and Lionel Quinteros that began shortly after Todd Hurley returned from Phoenix Arizona the 1st time in 1991. Todd and Mike had played together for years prior to Todd relocating to Arizona. Lionel and Todd had also spent a few years playing together prior to Todd's departure to Arizona to discover new experiences. After spending 2 years in Arizona from 1989 to 1991, Todd had continued his musical correspondence with Mike Green. Exchanging tape recordings of new material back and forth and once again became exited about perusing a career in the music business. Shortly after, he returned to his roots in the San Francisco Bay Area, quickly co assembled a new Rock group with Mike Green and enlisted old time friend and pro drummer Lionel Quinteros along with new comer Eric McHugh on the bass to complete the ensemble. Dangerous Rhythms name was created by Mike Green and soon entered "Audio Voyage" recording studio to record a six song EP and immediately after began hitting the streets with it's unique sound. Dangerous Rhythms played many club shows in the San Francisco Bay Area for about a year before Mike Green departed the band to pursue his life as a devoted family man. Todd Hurley, Lionel Quinteros and Eric McHugh went on to form the new band "Tyrant" Which had a very short run before Eric departed as well due to his lack of satisfaction of the direction of the band. In 1992 Lionel Quinteros and Todd Hurley formed a new band "Gateway" which went on to become "prodigal Son." These bands went on to record multiple and highly diverse albums that led to much success and throughout Northern California and eventually got them signed by Berkley's "Richter Scale Records" For more information on these bands or if you would like to hear songs from "Gateway" or "Prodigal Son" please click on the page listed as such on the front of this pages top friends list.
