whats good people, my name is Johnetta Anderson, but friends and fans call me "Nett". I was born and raised on the westside of Chicago, and I have been writing poetry for 12 yrs. Not only am I an extremely talented poet, Im also a film writer and director. I have written and directed two plays titled "why I aint got?", and "I got the victory". These plays were held at Solomon's Temple Church, located 4200 W. Adams on Chicago's Westside. Both have always turned out to be a huge success. And in the near future I plan to start writing my own T.V seris. Aside from being a poet and writer, I also work in the music business. I am apart of the Knuckle Up Squad, a group of rappers, singers and poets. The Knuckle up squad was est.2008 by prince rymes. We currently have about eight members and looking forward to throwing out our second mixtape. One of the things that I am most proud of is that I have been mentioned in several newspapers such as: The Austin voice (2x), the sun times (1x) and the lawndale voice (1x). I am currently working on my new cd, titled "poetically Speaking". which will feature my hit poems "Overcoming Negativity", and "Thats My Best Friend you're Killing" dedicated to the Black Male. I have also been blessed to come into contact with many of chicago's finest poets and poetry groups such as: Redstorm, K-Luv, 3brothers and a mic, So Ill poets,Kell O.G of poetry on the patio,Mama brenda and many more. Not only do I perform in Chicago, I also do several performance in the city suberbs such as Maywood, etc. I have spoken at several rallies such as "stop the violece" a rally held in Maywood Illinois, and "save the youth" a rally held on the westside of Chicago. I have also won several talent shows and gong shows. Aside from being a motivated poet and performer, I am also a pretty good actress. I have played roles in my own underground plays, and stared in two underground plays titled "Heaven or hell" and "Why me". When Im not acting or writing, I also make and produce my own music beats. I am also a ghost writer, I write R&B songs as well as rapp, and hip-hop lyrics.
