The BlackJacks, a southern California four piece Rockabilly band, truly bring out the traditional sound of Rockabilly music to their shows.
The Jacks, consisting of four, began rehearsing in the Spring of 2008 at Anaheim Prestige Auto Works. It only took a couple of songs for the Blackjacks to notice that the band would become successful in the Rockabilly scene.
The first show becoming a success for the BlackJacks has allowed the band to grow more popular among the Rockabilly scene in southern California.
On the Sunburst Gretsch guitar, vocalist for the Jacks Aldo sets fourth some of the smoothest licks that makes it irresistible for the audience not to move around and bop. His guitar licks followed by his vocals bring a true Rockabilly feel to the band.
On the upright Blockabilly Rick slaps that bass around like a mad man. His smooth vocals are a true pleasure to hear.
Alex, the drummer for the Blackjacks, pounds on those drums as if there was no tomorrow!!! He doesn’t talk much but his ways on the drums make up for that.
Carlos, the newest BlackJack added to the band, makes the crowd go crazy with his vocals and unique songs rarely heard in the Rockabilly scene.
The BlackJacks are recently working on their first album to be announced soon. If you want to hear a band that will make you dance, swing and bop you can’t miss out on these guys. Go check them out sometime and find out for your self!
