I grew up in the early eighties and I gravitated more towards Old School, rather than metal, at the time. So to list a few: Run-DMC, Curtis Blow, Fat Boys (then later) Ice-T and Public Enemy. Those aren't exclusive but it's the foundation for the music I prefer. Also anything in the Miami Bass style like DJ Magic Mike, Techmaster PEB, 69 Boys, and of course 2 Live Crew and so on..
