Lyricool The Lyricist aka Josh Mata is a half Mexican-Half Anglo MC from Alexandria, Louisiana but now living in Kentucky. He a deadly and natural born lyricist hence his name Lyricool.Lyricool first fell in love with hip-hop at the tender age of 2 years old. He used to get a burst of energy when MC Hammers "Can't Touch This" would come on the radio. From that point on he consummed as much hip-hop as possible. Fast foward 12 years when Lyricool was 14. He was passing through the hallway and saw 2 classmates chipering and was blown away by it. After that experience Lyricool came devoted to the art of freestyling. A year later the motion picture "8 Mile" hit theaters and Lyricool became intrigued with the art of Rap Battling. When Lyricool first started to take his career and talent serious he was only a battle MC often intimidating other MC's by calling them out to battle. Move on 2 more year where Lyricool is 16 and had just moved to the state of Kentucky. During his sopmore year in high Lyricool was looking for an extra curricular activity when he decided to help out the boys basketball team. Belive it or not he even used that oppritunity too show off/improve his rap abilities. At every halftime during a game Lyricool would often go on a man hunt looking for the other schools best MC to battle against. In a 2 season period Lyricool put together an impressive record of 40-3. In that time he did however, meet his now best friend and fellow MC Josh Harris aka Proverb who took Lyricool under his wing. Proverb told Lyricool that his battle skills and freestyle ability were great abut, he needed to become a great writer if he wanted to succed in the rap game.Fast foward to the present moment Lyricool is currently on his grind and is under managment Born Militant Entertainment. Lyricool is working on his first offical mixtape currently untitled. Lyricool goal as an artist is to help bring the Lyrical aspect of hip-hop back into the limelight and not just a underground aspect. He chooses to make music that moves people and shows off true rhyme skills.
