About Me

I edited my profile with Thomas Myspace Editor V4.4 (www.strikefile.com/myspace) ***** Sundance Ranch is new and we're still working on getting it on its feet. I have rescued a couple of horses and then adopted them out and am happy to say they are all doing very well! Our name comes from my first childhood horse that has passed on, but forever in my heart. Our very first baby was born on January 20,2007. she was morgan/quarter/paint beautiful 50/50 black and white filly. her mamma (Kentucky a rescue) had ring bone in her right front and we had the vet out to do a check up on her and give her a shot of butte. I think the stress of having her leg delt with made her foal the next night.... and a month to early. the filly only lived for 12 hours. since then Kentuckys ring bone made it almost impossible for her to walk. she now rests on a lil hill over looking her pasture and the other horses. I know her and her filly Nakota are galloping in lush green grasses.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Kentucky 21 year old morgan quarter mare. When I got Kentucky she was lame on both front feet, very under weight and had hip problems. the lady I bought her from hadn't had her feet trimmed in over 6 years and before I got to her she sold her... the new owners brought her back after trimming her feet way to short and causing her to go lame. poor girl had blood coming from her frogs as I loaded her up. the owner told me it would take all day to load her in to a strait load but it took me 5 min. I think she was glad to be getting out of the pasture filled with mud, tree stumps and millons of rocks. I had her for 3 years be fore she got ringbone in her front right. she was retired to green grass where she foaled Nakota. after two years of vet bills trying to help her we had her put down this march. RIP little lady I miss your nickers. lil black mare 8 year old quarter horse mare. Little black mare came to me with a huge scar and partly open wound on her right hind from getting tangled in barbwire. she was sound on it but her previous owner couldn't get the leg to compleatly heal. with time and patience I got the leg to heal. she's now living with a family and their other mare in quilicene WA. Exodus 10 year old paint stallion. Exodus was the last of 26 horses a lady had. His feet where very long and split. he had dredlocks was very underweight and full of worms. At 7 years old he had never been ridden or gelded. and I think he was mistreated as he could not be cought out in pasture till I had gained his trust. I got him started under saddle and had him gelded. he foaled his only baby Nakota. He is living near the seattle area. Sunday 14 year old paint mare. Sunday came with Exodus. she didnt have any real problems just needed her feet trimmed up a bit and her teeth floated. she is owned by a high school friend of mine in poulsbo WA and is very fat and happy! Strider 5 year old quarter horse gelding. I got this big teddy bear from a sale yard as a two year old. He had some fear issues and his left hind corrnet band had a lump and scar witch turned out to be a bone chipe. I took one look in his big brown soft eyes and had to get him outta there. I used him as a trail and lesson horse for two years before selling him to a lady in belfair. Nakota morgan/quarter/paint filly. Nakota only lived for a very short time (12 hours) but she melted my heart. shes now galloping byside her mamma Kentucky in heaven. Salty 13 year old welsh cob stallion. Salty was used as a teaser pony at a ranch I worked at. the owners sold him to me cause they had no use for him. he was very fat (being the only pony at the barn and getting fed a full sized horses meal 3 times a day will to that to a pony! I got him started under saddle and sold him to a lady in Port Townsend for her 3 year old daughter to learn on. I still see him every once inawhile and he's happy as a clam. Ruger 13 year old BS paint gelding. I fell in love with this horse before I even met him. the Lady was selling him cause every time she rode him he bucked.... I got on him and woundn't let him buck. he soon learned that I was the boss and now we're best friends. He still lives with us. all of 2007 I barrel raced him and he loves it! he gets really board with trail riding and will pretend to spook at everything. hes a spaz :) Remington 5 year old quarter horse gelding. Before I got Remington he had been in 5 homes in 3 years and he's not going anywhere now. He had horrible fear issues. was super head shy and the whites of his eyes where always showing. I put 60 days of natural horsemanship on him and now he's a dream. My neice is going to be riding him in the parade this spring and im also going to be useing him as a therapy horse for a little boy with Angelmans Syndrome. When my husband or friends want to ride remingtons the horse for it. he's very laid back and easy going. Cookie Monster 6 year old aussie mix. She loves going trail riding and what she thinks if keeping the horses in line. she loves riding in the truck and tennis balls. I got her as a 2 year old from a lady that was going to take her to the pound. shes now 6 and loving every minute of life. Chevy 2.5 year old boxer/shepherd. he came from a litter of pups with parvo. after many hours of staying up with the little guy and force feeding him watter and his medicine hes still with us! hes a very good guard dog and can run for miles. Piston is still a pup he is full bred jack russell and it shows. we got him as a wedding present from my husbands parents last year. he loves riding in the saddle or running alongside with the other dogs. he thinks he's a "big dog". you dont dare say the words "scoobie snack" or ask him where his "squeekie" is.I found this lil girl on craigslist. I was told she was 5 years old and was almost saddle broke. I wanted her right away. from the pictures I had gotten from the owners I could tell she needed her feet done and was very underweight. I went the next day and picked her up. She has a horrible bulldog mouth, very underweight, looks to be about two and from the looks of her feet she'd never had them done... well I think I was right. It was a kicking 2 hour battle but she now has 4 trimed hoofs. she is head shy has a fear of adults but is great with her new owner my 7 year old neice. I'm going to be putting a lot of work into her this fall after my round pen is build.
