About Me

I have been involved in the underground music scene in the West Midlands for the last eight years, playing with acts such as The Penitraitors, Planetman, and legendary art noise idiots the Toxic Pijin. I have recorded several full length cds with the acts I have mentioned as well as contributing instrumentation to various low key releases. I have played at well known venues such as Bar Academys and Barflys, as well as countless lesser known pubs, clubs, parties and festivals.Last year I recorded and self released my debut solo e.p "Tattooing My Toes In An Abandoned Building" after becoming a regular performer on the art squat scene in London at venues such as This Is Not A Bar and the NoID gallery, as well as playing gypsy themed club nights such as the notorious Pandemonium Circus. Last summer saw me play both Glastonbury festival and Electric Picnic festival in Ireland. I was also a big part of the Wet Paint project in Worcester, a six week long arts project involving visual art, comedy, anarchist politics and music. At present, live shows can involve beatboxers, melodica, percusssion and violin as well a few Irish and klezmer numbers. My recent activities have included a six month stint hosting a jam night in Brighton (Jamzilla at the Juggler) and I am preparing for my debut vinyl release later in the year, as well as unveiling my collaboration with Sonia Indigo (Steel Pulse, The Specials).All enquiries about booking and the like can be directed to : [email protected]

All recording,mixing and mastering was done by the amazing ricky at studio neck.I cannnot reccomend the work of this strange little man highly enough - if you need something recording, seek him out!
Influences: Musically - Gogol Bordello, Mark Lanegan, Inner Terrestrials, Sublime, Nick Cave, The Specials, Tom Waits, Lee Scratch Perry.In general - alcohol and intoxication, the squat party and free party scene, Arthur Rimbaud, Charles Bukowski, Lisa Crystal Carver, punk rock ethics, stubborn bloody minded eccentrics, the strange cast of weirdos, geniuses and deviants I constantly seem to be surrounded by, the antics of the norse god loki as recorded in writings such as the lokasenna, all truly great art that I encounter
