Quand David Gastine a commencé la guitare vers l’age de 15 ans, il s’est aussitôt mis à chanter, tout de suite attiré dans son interprétation par le mariage de la guitare acoustique et des belles mélodies vocales.
Une dizaine d’années plus tard, après avoir découvert Django Reinhardt et s’être passionné pour l’univers musical du jazz manouche, il se consacre à la guitare d’accompagnement (la fameuse « pompe ») tout en apportant de sa voix grave et romantique un répertoire varié, de la chanson française au standard de jazz, inspiré aussi bien par Salvador que par Sinatra.
Également surnommé « Bouclette », il est devenu un accompagnateur recherché et un chanteur apprécié.
Il fait partie du Samy Daussat trio (www.myspace.com/samydaussat) dont le premier album « La Petite Famille » est disponible depuis juin 2009. Il fait également partie du projet Selmer 607 (www.selmer607.com) dont l’album du même nom est déjà disponible.
As soon as he started the guitar around the age of 15, he also started to sing, attracted by the meeting of the acoustic sound and the beautiful vocal melodies.
Around ten years later, after having discovered Django Reinhardt and being fascinated by the musical universe of gipsy jazz, he dedicated himself to the rythm guitar, bringing with his low and romantic voice a varied repertoire from the french songs to the jazz stantard inspired as well by Salvador than Sinatra.
Also called « Bouclette », he became a popular sideman and an appreciated singer.
