Pittsburgh Rapper and Larimar Ave. native Hardtymez has been earning the respect of
fans and peers since his appearance on the G.O.V.'s Hip-Hop Heroin in 2005 hosted by the world famous DJ Kay Slay. Hip-Hop Heroin was well received by fans nationwide and immediately gained the attention of audiences in Pittsburgh and in the music industry. The G.O.V. continues to release music and remains Pittsburgh's most talked about Hip-Hop group
for the new generation.
Each artist in the G.O.V. has their own individual sound and their own fanbase that loves them
for it. Hardtymez is no exception. Inspired by the greats of Hip-Hop such B.I.G., The Lox, Big Pun, Big L, and Tupac. Hardtymez has become known for heartfelt reality based lyrics,
delivered with a soulful sincerity, that separates him from being the type of artist you like but makes him the type of artist you feel!! Each verse brings you a glimpse of the struggles and triumphs that earned him the nick name Hardtymez in the first place.
Born Charles Coleman, the 25 year old rapper watched his father go to jail for life when he was in elementary school and while his mother was continuously battling drug addiction throughout his childhood. By the age of 15 his friends started calling him Hardtymez. Despite the troubles at home Hardtymez still found outlets through sports and music. Through extra curricular sports he met his lifelong friends S.Money and Nizzy. Both music lovers, Nizzy helped push Hardtymez to pursue music
through the inspiration of his superskillfull freestyle raps. Fellow G.O.V. comrade BOAZ
also was a major inspiration to Hardtymez with his classic sound and the new buzz he was beginning to generate in the Pittsburgh area.
After being introduced to hit-making Hip-Hop producer Black Ceez, Hardtymez began to work seriously on material that would be featured on Hip-Hop Heroin. Since his performance on Hip-Hop Heroin Hardtymez has continued to
gain fans who anxiously await his solo release. Fans continue to admire his realness and
soulful swagger on G.O.V. the classics Free Young Nizzy, DJ Shef's In the Kitchen Mixtape, DJ Shefs The Hardway Mixtape, BOAZ's Intent
to Deliver, Boaz's The Phenomenal, BOAZ's Monumental Music, G.O.V's Election Day, S Money's Dough Boy Pt. 1 and 2, as well as various other cameo's including Kev The Hustler's The Corners Correspondent.
