About Me

Erica Wisor first came on to the music scene back in 2001 at 13 years of age when she performed at the The Woodlands a camp for disabled and chronically ill children and adults. Every summer from 2001-2003 she studied with Tufts University Choral Director Andrew Clark, Hartford Symphony Orchestra Conductor Edward Cumming and sang a few free concerts with Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra Conductor Lucas Richman.
Born with Cerebral Palsy, Erica walks with two supports called poles and wears a brace on each leg. She also uses an electric wheelchair for long distances. Throughout life Erica has had to overcome several challenges dealing with her disability. Sooner or later Erica knew that one day she would be able to rise above adversity and make something out of herself. The whole idea of cutting a demo was a dream of Erica’s ever since she first worked with Richman, but there’s a time and place for everything.
After abandoning her passion for roughly three years, Erica got back on her feet again in the Spring of 2007 when a special friend of hers turned her life around and she got her faith in God back. In April of Erica had the opportunity to perform for Unity Church in Edinboro . She was approached by reverand Joanne Rowden and decided to host a benefit to help out the Erie City Mission . While in planning for the benefit, a meeting was to be held to discuss how to attract college students to Unity and that is where Erica met up with Greg Ropp, president of the Eerie Horror Fest . Greg was also the lead vocalist for a local band The Void . With the sound advice of Greg, a true inspiration, Erica was able to get the help she needed.
Erica is a Communication and Media Studies major at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania with a minor in music. Her CD is $10 with the net proceeds benefiting the Erie City Mission .is a non-profit Christian Organization which helps people in the time of need. Each CD sold will feed eight people at the mission. Future performances to be announced at a later date.
