Just the facts... Born in the north of CHILE in '72. Moved to United States in '75. MUSIK IS LIFE!!! He felt the power of the dark side early with HEAVY METAL musik in the 6th grade. QUIET RIOT, MOTLEY CRUE, and of course OZZY. Later in the 7th grade he watched the world premier video of VAN HALEN'S PANAMA, on MTV. When he saw Eddie shreddin' on that one and only Kramer he knew he wanted to be that guy! Then came the true initiation with one of the godfathers of metal, IRON MAIDEN, and after 666 NUMBER OF THE BEAST for him there was no turning back !!! Soon after he went to his first concert in 1986, where he saw Steve(talkin' about a yankee rose) Vai, which in turn led him to Joe(hordes of locusts)Satriani. Needless to say that by now this young man was fiending to learn to play A.S.A.F.P., though he would not actually get an electric guitar until the age of 17. Soon came his first Metal band TORMENTOR. A three piece thrash outfit, featuring wacky bass player CHRIS CHILDS, and bone crushing drummer MATT SUITER, currently in KATAGORY V(see below). Citing influences like MEGADETH, TESTAMENT, ANTHRAX and the legendary IRON MAIDEN. TORMENTOR released a local demo in '92, which has been hailed as "some straight up balls to the wall metal madness!!!" and holds its own to this very day. Many gigs and musical differences later, after TORMENTOR had gone the way of the dodo, he went on to play in several other local bands such as; STORMBRINGER, ALTERED STATE, AGRO-KULTURE, FADE, THREE WORD NAME, AND SAWED OFF SMILE. Attended first Electronic event in JAN '94. Earliest names he remember as artists, or producers... Um...PLASTIKMAN(Ritchie Hawtin), RABBIT IN THE MOON, HARDKISS BROS., UBERZONE, BASSBIN TWINS, ORBITAL, KRAFTWERK, B.T., SASHA, DIGWEED, TAYLOR, ANOMALY,FUTURE SOUND OF LONDON, SANDRA COLLINS, AND GREEN VELVET to name a few. At the Get Wicked party in Salt Lake, summer of '95 he heard DeeJays Garth and the WICKED Crew(Markie, Thomas, Yeno). Owners of the GreyHound (tribal acid house/breaks) Label out of San Fransisco, and his view of "TECHNO " was forever changed. "Hypnotic primitive tribal breaks fused with the cutting edge "Acid House" sound that was sweeping the Global Techno Scene in the mid-nineties. Game Over man, Game Over!!!" Started spinning vinyl on HALLOWEEN '96("on my little brothers decks!!!") and since then has never looked back! Since his humble beginning at Deviant Brakes Sept of '97 playing a multi-genre of evil Ogden style of "Dark-Tribal-Acid-Hypnotica", the musik madman lunatic, known as Infected Record's Dj KNO-1, keeps perpetually progressing! Having played his intricate and "off the cuff" mixes for over a decade in the electronic musik scene and now for Ogden's Overlords of the Underworld, KNO-1's sonic assaults include but are not limited to: REIGN SUPREME 1998, RPM 1999, ZEN 2000 (Phoenix, AZ), PAJAMMA JAMMA II 2001, OZ New Years Eve 2002, EUPHORIA RISING 2003, DEEP NATION 2004 (Seattle, WA), BASS BINGE 2005 (Las Vegas, NV), BREAKIN' IN 2006 (Boise, ID), and EVOLUTION 2007, just to name a select few...! Spawned by CHRIS-SICK, the Godfather himself, KNO-1's musikal expression is unprecedented and not to be missed!
