About Me

~Love.Loss.Pain.Joy~
I've come to the point where I'm able to enjoy all of life. I'm living the love and loss and pain and joy and loving it because without any of those things it wouldn't be life. There would be something missing. I can enjoy life and all it has to offer. I'm learning to be happy in the good times and learn from the bad, while truly finding joy in all of it. Praise God! He's teaching me to rejoice in suffering, to thank Him for pain. Because I'd rather feel pain than nothing at all.
I love to learn from God and see myself changing and growing. I don't want to miss out on anything He wants to do in me. I can see that nothing else matters. He is all there is and He's offering me the opportunity to know Him! I don't want to pass that up!
I'm taking some time off from relationships and I'm really looking forward to growing in that time. I just really want to press into God and seek Him more and more. I can't wait to see what He shows me and how he changes me! I'm really excited about this. It'll be an interesting journey. I'm going to enjoy being single and focusing entirely on God. It'll be awesome.
To my favourite people in the world, my best friends - you know who you are - thank you for everything, I love you so much and I am truly blessed to know people like you.

Trust me, I have not earn'd your dear rebuke,
I love, as you would have me, God the most;
Would lose not Him, but you, must one be lost,
Nor with Lot's wife cast back a faithless look
Unready to forego what I forsook;
This say I, having counted up the cost,
This, though I be the feeblest of God's host,
The sorriest sheep Christ shepherds with His crook.
Yet while I love my God the most, I deem
That I can never love you overmuch;
I love Him more, so let me love you too;
Yea, as I apprehend it, love is such
I cannot love you if I love not Him,
I cannot love Him if I love not you.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

My Heavenly Father, and someday I will. Also, like-minded people and those people that you just have that inexplicable, instant connection with that become your best friends within a few days or even hours. However, I am truly blessed with the people I already have in my life.

To spread the azure canopy of Heaven
And spangle it all with sparks of burning gold;
To place this ponderous globe of Earth so even
That it should all, and nought should it uphold;
With motions strange to endue the planets seven,
And Jove to make so mild, and Mars so bold;
To temper what is moist, dry, hot, and cold,
Of all their jars that sweet accords are given;
Lord, to Thy wisdom's nought, nought to Thy might;
But that Thou shouldst, Thy glory laid aside,
Come basely in mortality to bide,
And die for those deserved an endless night;
A wonder is, so far above our wit,
That angels stand amazed to think on it.

- William Drummond

If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you
But make allowance for their doubting too,
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise:
If you can dream--and not make dreams your master,
If you can think--and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build 'em up with worn-out tools:

If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it all on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breath a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: "Hold on!"

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with kings- nor lose the common touch,
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you;
If all men count with you, but none too much,
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And- which is more- you'll be a Man, my son!

-Rudyard Kipling
