Broadway Bloc Party 2008

There is a new festival in downtown Eugene, and it's going to be an incredible musical event! On Friday & Saturday June 13/14th, 2008 Campus Radio KWVA 88.1 are proud to announce a U of O graduation summer celebration "Broadway Bloc Party" to the heart of downtown Eugene; at the intersection of Broadway & Olive. Tickets for this event are on sale now, and proceeds will benefit Campus Radio programming. The first year's line-up consists of two completely unique nights of entertainment. Night one opens the festival with a blast of dance beats and intoxicating lighting effects, featuring seasoned jamtronica veteran Bassnectar, LIVE PA SET featuring members of STS9 and a LIVE PA SET featuring members of Pnuma to open the show. Night two will appease the local hipsters; catch Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, The Devil Makes Three, Islands, and two free early bird performances by Despot and Crayonsmith while shaken your booty in the streets of Downtown Eugene. Tickets are $30 for the general public, $27 with student ID (any), and $50 for a two-night pass in advance. Advance tickets are available on-line at ticketweb.com or the EMU ticket outlet (only place to get student price tickets). Gates for Friday night open at 5pm, while gates for Saturday open at noon.
