Things that are good: my dog, beer, Live Band Karaoke, slippers, garlic, using dance as a literal lyrical narrative, wandering aimlessly.
Things that are not good: exclamation points, Rush, moviephone, long fingernails, scrunchies, bug bites, lost contact lenses.
People who can keep up with a good Who's On First? routine. And probably Hank Venture.
I dig it.
Diner, The Sting, Annie Hall, Bull Durham, Princess Bride, Paper Moon, LA Confidential, Spirited Away, Pulp Fiction, Hook, Out of Sight, Dr. Strangelove, She's the Man, Duck Soup, Animal House, Stripes, Mean Streets, Risky Business, Batman Begins (well, and the two with Keaton, but Begins is the best), Secretary, The Last Starfighter, American Graffiti, Withnail and I, Big Fish, Seven Samurai, MASH, Goonies, 39 Steps, Welcome to the Dollhouse, Finian's Rainbow, Alien, Chungking Express, Bill and Ted, A Christmas Story, The Great Dictator, Mean Girls.
And of course, there's the Quintessential Trilogies: Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Die Hard, Man With No Name, Colors, Godfather.
Basically Venture Bros. All the time. Alias, Arrested Development, LOST, Twin Peaks, Daily Show, Home Movies, Mythbusters, Firefly, Veronica Mars, Heroes, Coupling, Buffy, Greg the Bunny, Trailer Park Boys, 30 Rock, infomercials, Dating on Demand.
James Thurber and PG Wodehouse. Catch-22, Winnie-the-Pooh, Faust, Stinker From Space, Watchmen. Thurber Carnival, The White Deer, Leave it to Psmith...again, basically anything by PG Wodehouse or James Thurber. Then there's East of Eden, Haroun and the Sea of Stories, You Know Me Al, Alice in Wonderland, Jacques the Fatalist, Divine Comedy, The Westing Game, The Tale of Despereaux. James Bond pocket novels. The wonderful world of Kurt Vonnegut.
(Really, who doesn't like Vonnegut? I feel like even mentioning him is redundant. It's just a universal given. Everyone likes Vonnegut, Ferris Bueller, and at least one song by Weezer. Don't even pretend you don't like anything by Weezer.)
Three Musketeers. Basically any form of stock funquest adventure fiction. Colonel Effingham's Raid, Pippi Longstocking, X-men comics, Sandman too. Lord of the Rings, and How to be Idle. The Life and Opinions of Tristram Shandy. Neil Gaiman and Bill Bryson and Oscar Wilde works. I read a lot, like constantly, except I wouldn't ever really consider myself well-read, especially since I won't know most of your obscure authors. Oh, and I almost forgot about HP. And: if you haven't read anything by Christine Chung, tap that pronto.
Most recently? Sydney Bristow, Tina Fey, Amy Schmitz, Wangari Muta Maathai, the dog. And Nightcrawler.
Oh, and of course: Omar's eyebrows.
Then of course, there's The Circus, The Whores, and everyone in between.
