About Me

My name is Erik Marcusson. I have been a civil war reenactor since 2004 and it is one of the greatest joys I have ever been able to recieve. When I realized there were other people on myspace with the same passion as I have, I decided to create my units profile. Months after I joined C company I found out that im in the same company and regiment as my great x3 grandfather John A. Mahaffey. He served in for all 4 years of the war.He enlisted at age 15 on July 16th 1861 and served the 6th and the Confederacy until he and what was left of his comrades surrendered to Gen. Grant at Appomatax. He was only 19 when he surrendered. I created the 6th SC profile so other people could learn a little about this regiment and its history. It may not be as popular as other famous regiments but the 6th SC stuck it out to the end and gave it their best. If there is anything you want to know more about me just let me know. I love talking to people ..
