HELLCATS OF THE WHEEL

A country music comedy about NASCAR

About Me

"Hellcats of the Wheel" is a country music comedy about NASCAR. The show celebrates NASCAR history, its Americana roots, its great tracks, its outrageous drivers and the incredible stories of the sport's early days.
The mug shot on "Whiskey Runnin' Country Boys" is, of course, the legendary Junior Johnson. Some call him the greatest driver NASCAR ever had.
The song called “Penny” is the story of Dale Earnhardt Sr. winning the Daytona 500 in 1998 on his 20th try. Winning the great American race was his dream, but victory had eluded him. The day before the 1998 race, he met a little girl in a wheelchair through the Make-A-Wish Foundation. She loved Dale, praying for him every night, and she gave him a penny that she told him she had rubbed to bring him luck. Earnhardt was so touched he glued the penny to the dashboard of his number 3 Chevrolet with lug nut glue. The next day, he won.
The singers on the songs are:
Red Marlow on "Whiskey Runnin' Country Boys"
Stephanie Jones on "Mr. Fahrenheit"
Leon Chase on “Renegade” and “Penny”
Britt Savage on “Goodbye Kyle”
The musical arranger and record producer is Cliff Goldmacher.
The instrumentalists are the top of the line Nashville musicians.
I'm the writer and I hope you like the songs. Thanks for listening.
