Country Gospel Music

About Me

The band name, Mountainairs, was initiated about four years ago. We had myself, my wife, a lead guitar and a bass man. Me is, Doug C. Hamilton, the wife Glynda, leadman Billy Moore and bassman Vernon Fleniken. These were the originals. We have since had Billy and Vernon leave us for other bands. We are now only three strong. My wife is the keyboard player and backup vocalist, me the guitarist and lead vocalist and we added a fiddle player named Val Gomez. He has been blind all of his life, but, mastered the fiddle very well. We christened him as a bona fide Mountainair. We play senior centers and other gigs at family orientated locations. No bars or dancehalls. We are now getting into country gospel to enhance our saviour's name. If possible we want to travel some to hold music revivals at different churches. We love good gospel music. Our plans are to play within a 300 mile radius of our home. I am an avid song writer and the song, Mountains of New Mexico was written by me and recorded. You can hear it on MySpace. Our home is in the Sacramento Mountains of New Mexico at about 6000 feet. We love to have friends so join us. My wife and myself have been retired since the 1990's and have pursued our music since this time. We were also raised on Country Music and influenced strongly by George Jones and Loretto Lynn. We still enjoy singing a pure country song when we can. Guitar MySpace Layouts - Acoustic Guitar MySpace Layouts Guitar MySpace Layouts
